Learn Blackjack - How To Play And Win Blackjack At Home Or In Vegas App Reviews

Just okay

The tips and quizzes are helpful, but the most frustrating thing is the practice odds. The dealer wins or its a push 95% of the time. So even if you are making "the right decisions" you still get slapped. Its a little ridiculous. Im inclined to agree with others....download a free app and use a cheat sheet printed off the internet.

A quick, comprehensive gamblers guide!

Made it easy to understand how to get the best odds at Blackjack. Ive been to Vegas before, but after going through their flashcards Ive learned when to hit and stay (wish Id had this app before I went to Vegas the last time). Its also got a great table showing all the hands to hit and all the hands to stay on so you know youve got the best odds.

Money.

In the bank.

I had no idea how little I knew.

Blackjack is deceptively simple. Add up your cards, try to get to 21, but dont go over. But watch out for that tricky little ace -- it can be either 1 or 11! Easy, right? Well, after five minutes with this app, I realized just how little I knew about the game, and how complex it can be. It also explained why I got weird looks from some of the dealers I played with in Vegas. I was going about this all wrong. Im busy memorizing the cheat sheet in attempts to get a perfect score on the skill quiz. Blackjack is tougher than you want it to be, but this app is one of the few that may actually MAKE you money.

Best Black Jack tutorial in the app store

Well done, keep the updates coming. Ill admit Im not a fan of the graphics but they are well done and creative.

Fast and easy way to learn

Straight to the point. You understand the game faster and the strategies explain each hand to help you learn faster and specially to not doubt your self on a hand.

Not bad

App is very good at explaining what you should do at any given time. However in the training exercises the numbers on the cards are too hard to differentiate. Ex. the 4s and 9s. Fix this and the app will be a solid 5 stars

Very basic

Beginners only, not so great graphics

Error

Found an error in the Vegas quiz. A pair of 7s should always be split with a dealer showing a face card of 7 and less. When I chose "split" the app. says wrong yet explains in this situation you should split. Obviously a technical error. Nevertheless a blackjack trainer app. needs to be accurate or basic strategy is learned the wrong way.

A definite step up from green red & yellow wallet card

Perfect app for the infrequent casino gambler who wants a drill on what to do AND why to do it.

Attempts to login to Facebook

I dont appreciate that this app attempt to post to Facebook on launch without asking. Beyond that the graphics are rudimentary and each game is only 10 hands. If you really want to learn you are going to have to play hundred if not thousands of hands.

Nice

Works great! Also, to the other reviewer. It just signs you in to Facebook so you can post your quiz scores later on if you want, the app doesnt post anything on its own. But I only get like one right on the quiz so I never post it! Ha.

Awesome.

This app rocks- taught me blackjack during my flight to Vegas. Havent experienced any issues with Facebook as were described in an earlier review

No more Facebook

Any app that removes Facebook integration gets an automatic 5 star rating from me. Also a great app.

BlackjackHD

Good blackjack teacher. Good way to practice.

TERRIBLE APP

What a joke and complete waste of money! This is not even iPAD friendly!!! It only works in portrait mode and not landscape! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

No real play

Not much value here. Some boilerplate strategy and not very complete. Also a quiz that becomes repetitious. No opportunity to practice. Not worth the money.

I made $80 since I bought this!

This is such a great deal for 99 cents! I bought it before flying to Vegas yesterday and Im already up $80. I had never played blackjack before but the tutorials and scenarios are a really fun and easy way to learn the optimal blackjack moves. UPDATE: just got the new version. Cool that you can play now - this will keep me sharp between vacations!

Great app

Makes card counting seem easy, like being able to play the game in the app

Good and bad

The part of the app where they teach you isnt interactive-- it is just reading some text on the screen. It needs to be interactive, giving you a chance to actually SEE and PRACTICE some of the things AS you are learning them. And providing "cheat sheets" isnt a useful way to actually TEACH-- what I mean is, staring at the cheat sheet doesnt help me learn and remember WHY those are the correct moves, nor is it any fun! Honestly, I skipped that part because I didnt really understand what I was looking at. On the other hand, I love the quiz feature!! I just wish I had been more prepared before heading into the quizzes!!
